I tried to learn chinese but stopped after I figured out chinese people couldn't understand a damn thing I was saying. the word Ma is like 5 different things depending on your tone, and frankly I don't have the time to worry about my tone!

writing chinese is much easier because you can't really mess that up, just a bitch to memorize all the symbols.

fun fact, my chinese name is Ma Hao Guang. But my friends in class call me Tai Pang le.

idk what my chinese name is

fun fact: my parents wanted to call me damian but my grandma was all "THAT'S THE NAME OF THE DEVIL!" so they didn't.
instead, they named me what i'm callled today right?
in some language(idk which), my name and middle name together mean dark might of god.
idk just felt like sharing that.

i only need to finish this semester to have my two year language requirement, but i think i might take it senior year, too. or at least for the rest of this year. i'm in mandarin 3/4 right now, and there's only 4 students in the class. for the second semester freshmen year, i took my first language class ever, which was spanish 4. i didn't even take one two or three prior to that.
