Okay, so since I got back to res this weekend, I've been almost alone on the floor. The only people still here are me, my don, my friends Kylee and Amberley (who are in an apt. together), and my buddy Jon (who, like me, is alone in his apt.). Well today happens to be the day of my last two exams (the four of us happen to be leaving tomorrow) and Matty (my don's) twenty-second birthday. I'm the "birthday rep" for the floor meaning I have to acknowledge everyone's birthday. Since Matty is a great don and has put up with me at my worst (including my worst drinking experience EVER) I got him a HUGE assortment of mini-cakes, chocolate mousse treats, etc.

So last night I was out studying with some guy friends and I came home with my treats for Matty. I was cornered by Jon. Now, Jon is my bro, so we've been hanging out every minute of every day since I've been back. I asked him for a lighter, to light Matty's candles, and we decided that he would invite Matty to his place (since they play video games together) and I'd burst out of Jon's bedroom with the cakes. Seems nice, right?

He ran into Matty and Matty said he would come over in "five minutes." Well "five minutes" turned into a half hour. We checked his door and it said "Matty will be back around one AM." Well shit son, I had to wait till one AM?? And I had an exam at nine tomorrow. I figured I'd suck it up and Jon and I would hang out till then. Then three girls from the third floor came down to "say good-bye" to Jon. They were wasted on wine, but we had fun and such. Then one of the girls decided to REALLY say good-bye to Jon, in the bedroom. The others felt awkward and left, but I couldn't... because my cakes, jacket, and KEYS were in the bedroom!! I had to sit there and listen to them DO IT for like half an hour. WEIRD.

Then Jon came out and he was like "Uh, yeah, sorry... kinda forgot you were there." Now, I'm not trying to say I'm like Nicole Borud of Cycle 3. But UGH, of COURSE he forgot I was there, I wasn't eating his FACE. But it kind of irked me that he didn't think I'd be offended. I mean, who doesn't feel offended when they're forced to listen to people doing it? (Especially when they can't leave because he was doing it ON my keys). But he was like "C'mon, we're bros! Pound it!" Sometimes I wish I were not the "Bro."

Oh, and Matty still doesn't have his cakes. They're half-melted in my fridge.

well.. that sucks..

BTW, a Don (also referred to as an "RA") is a guy who lives on our residence floor (for free all year!) and gets to be in charge of us. He makes sure we pay things on time, organizes trips, and most importantly, writes out violations when we do things wrong (like, for example, you come home wasted on the second night of O-week and throw up in your recycling bin and are completely embarassed because you got the first violation on the floor and so you vow to never drink again and for the most part you don't...)

Maybe "RA" is American slang... my brothers and sisters and friends have always had "Dons." I think the only mafia Mattie is in is the GINGER MAFIA! MUAHAHAHAHAW!

I think he has a hot body but he's a real butterface. Or... buttisface. My boyfriend doesn't care if I think a boy is HOT, as long as I don't carry on about it and ACTUALLY have the intention to act on it.

I mean, I'd love to give you a cake, Lucy, but you accepting it without a shirt on wouldn't be the same as Matty sans shirt.
Oh wait, if you are a vegan I would have to somehow find a way of making the cake without eggs or milk.
